Job summary

Inspira Health Network in New Jersey seeks an Emergency Medical Technician (DEMS/EMT) to provide prehospital care and transport services within the DEMS system, including inter-facility transfers as directed. The role requires EMT certification in NJ, current BLS, and a valid NJ driver’s license; preference given to those with additional certifications (PHTLS/PEEP).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT certification recognized by NJDOH, Office of EMS; BLS certification required.
• Current NJ driver’s license; valid driving record per Inspira Fleet Safety guidelines.
• Preferred certifications: PHTLS and PEEP.

Responsibilities

• Provide prehospital care and transport for patients of all ages.
• Obtain patient history, vitals, and perform basic neurological exam.
• Support airway management and ventilation per protocols.
• Administer/assist with approved pharmacological agents as permitted.
• Perform field triage and participate in incident command when needed.
• Document EMS dispatches and patient care accurately in charting systems.
