Job summary

Inspira Health Network seeks a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to deliver high-quality prehospital care and transport within the DEMS system. The role requires NJ-acknowledged EMT certification and current BLS knowledge, with a valid NJ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Emergency Medical Technician certification required.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association).
• Driver’s license valid in NJ per Inspira Fleet Safety.
• PHTLS and PEEP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prehospital care and/or transport to patients of all ages as per DOT and AHA guidelines.
• Obtain patient history and vitals; perform basic neurological exam.
• Perform trauma assessments and airway management per standards.
• Use AED and manual ventilation; administer basic oxygen therapy.
• Document EMS dispatches and charting; complete billing and transport paperwork.
• Participate in incident command during mass casualty events; coordinate with mutual aid.
• Ensure shift readiness and proper use of EMS equipment and uniforms.
