Job summary

Inspira Health in New Jersey is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (DEMS/EMT) to provide prehospital care and transport to patients of all ages in accordance with DOT, AHA, NJ DOH guidelines.

The EMT will document care, perform assessments, manage airway, provide CPR, and support mass casualty incident operations, with a focus on quality patient care and adherence to DEMS policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Emergency Medical Technician (NJ) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid NJ driver’s license in accordance with Inspira Health Fleet Safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide prehospital care and/or transport to patients of all ages per DOT, AHA, ACS, NJDOH guidelines and DEMS policy.
• Obtain patient history and vitals; perform basic neurological exam and trauma assessment.
• Manage airway using basic techniques; ventilate with bag-valve-mask and oxygen therapy as needed.
• Apply AED and perform defibrillation per device guidance and regional protocols.
• Document EMS dispatches, refusals, and transport details; ensure timely shift reports and billing records.
