Job summary

Horizon Services Inc. is seeking an EMT – Health Tech I/II in San Leandro, CA. This full-time position monitors vital signs and withdrawal risks, administers medications, and coordinates care with medical and detox staff.

Qualified candidates are EMT certified with CA license; CPR/First Aid; and a willingness to work on a shift-based schedule in a sobering center setting. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified EMT with CA license and EMT scope.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must have CA driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish or other BHSD languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform health screening for clients and monitor vitals.
• Record medications and observations in logs/EHR.
• Conduct initial assessments for withdrawal and health risks.
• Provide timely crisis response and transport as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses and detox staff to ensure safety.
