Job summary

Excelsior Ambulance Service is seeking an EMT for full-time work in Surfside Beach, SC. The EMT will provide emergency medical care, operate defibrillators and monitoring equipment, and ensure patient safety during transport.

Under Division Manager supervision, you will follow policies, document care, and coordinate with public safety personnel. A valid EMT license, BLS, and NREMT credentials are required; a driving record checks are also performed.

Qualifications

• EMT license and minimum education completed as listed in the posting.
• Proficiency with basic medical equipment and patient care procedures.
• Ability to work under guidance of EMS leadership and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best action plan under protocols.
• Use EMT skills on equipment and perform necessary interventions.
• Document patient information and protect confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as EMS team member and manage scene and unit when needed.
• Drive the ambulance during emergency responses.
