Job summary

Excelsior Ambulance Service Inc in Ludowici, GA is seeking a full-time EMT to join our Operations team. Under the direction of the Area Manager, you will deliver emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with applicable laws and service policies.

You will assess scenes, operate EMS equipment, document patient information, and collaborate with health and public safety personnel, while driving on emergency responses. This role is non-exempt/hourly.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT/EMT-I/AEMT License.
• State Driver's License.
• BLS, NREMT (SC & AL).
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine action with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Operate EMT skills on medical equipment including defibrillator and monitors for patient care.
• Document patient information and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance.
• Act as EMS team member and manage scene and unit when needed.
• Drive the ambulance on emergency responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
