Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide Basic Life Support for emergency and non-emergency transports. The role requires NJ EMT or NREMT certification, AHA BLS, and a valid driver’s license.

You will work in collaboration with EMS partners and hospital staff, following NJ regulations and HMHealth policies. The position involves lifting and moving patients, handling reports, and operating under PPE guidelines in varied environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• NJ EMT certification or NREMT EMT certification is required.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• Driver's license is required.
• CEVO/EVOC training within 90 days of hire is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide BLS services for emergency and non-emergency requests.
• Ensure safe and prompt transportation of patients.
• Complete patient care reports for each patient.
• Coordinate with police, fire, and other EMS teams.
• Comply with NJ regulations and Hackensack Meridian Health policies.
• Perform duties including lifting and moving patients and equipment as needed.
