Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Canyon, TX is seeking a variable-shift, full-time Ambulance Service EMT‑B to provide out‑of‑hospital care and transport.

You will operate under Texas DSHS protocols, perform BLS, CPR, airway management, and document patient care; participate in ongoing training and equipment maintenance.

Ideal candidates have EMT‑B licensure, HS diploma, and a valid Texas driver license; willingness to meet NIMS and other DHS/IS courses.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with HS diploma or GED.
• EMT-B licensure by Texas DSHS.
• National Registry exam passed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with restriction “A” permissible.
• NIMS IS-100/200/700/800 prerequisites within 80 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care, stabilization, and safe transport.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and assess patient condition.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR and airway management.
• Operate basic medical devices and equipment per protocols.
• Interview patients and bystanders to obtain medical history.
• Safely operate an ambulance and transport to facilities.
• Maintain accurate patient care reports and complete documentation.
• Inspect and maintain ambulances and equipment.
• Participate in training, drills, and continuing education.
