Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking an EMT to provide direct patient care, including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support, in alignment with Mercy Health System standards and the Sisters of Mercy ethos.

This role may require clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties. It offers a 42-hour week with a sign-on bonus; minimum age 19, EMT license, Hazmat Awareness, BLS, and NIMS training within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required for the state of employment.
• Hazmat Awareness and BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• NIMS 100/200/700/800 within 90 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• ITLS or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, evaluation and basic life support.
• May perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
• Work as part of Mercy EMS teams delivering emergency services.
• Adhere to Mercy Health System standards and Employee Code of Conduct.
