Job summary

Habersham County is seeking an EMT and Firefighter to protect lives and property from fires and emergencies. The role also provides a high level of basic emergency care to patients within certification level. Starting salary is $15.50/hour; FLSA status: Non-Exempt.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• NIMS compliance is required.
• BLS compliance is required.
• Possession of a valid Georgia driver’s license or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid and Basic Life Support.
• Performs routine maintenance and checks on assigned apparatus and equipment.
• Participates in training sessions and prepares incident reports.
• Follows HIPAA privacy and safety regulations and infection control guidelines.
• Drives and operates emergency vehicles as needed.
• Completes required monthly education and training.
