Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a respected healthcare organization in Helena, MT to recruit an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). This role provides emergency medical care, supports Emergency Department operations, and ensures safe patient transport within EMS and hospital settings.

Full-Time schedule with patient-centered care, teamwork, and readiness for emergencies. Requires Montana EMT license, DOT EMT-B, BLS, and driving eligibility; NREMT preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT-approved EMT-Basic training completed.
• Current Montana EMT license and BLS certification.
• NREMT certification preferred; EVOC within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide basic care to patients in medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and transport patients to facilities.
• Provide patient care within the EMT scope of practice under clinical supervision.
• Support patient care and ED workflow as directed.
• Obtain vitals, perform EKGs, IVs, and collect specimens as trained.
• Assist with patient transfers, room prep, and direct patient observation.
• Maintain accurate patient information and medical documentation.
• Keep ambulances and equipment ready and stock supplies.
