Job summary

The Staff Pad in Helena, MT is hiring an EMS professional to coordinate education, training, and professional development for EMS staff. The role supports orientation, continuing education, FTO programs, and quality improvement initiatives, with clinical support as needed.

You will work with Ambulance Manager and educators to deliver evidence-based programs, maintain documentation, and ensure readiness for EMS teams in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of practical Emergency Medical Services experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • EMT or Paramedic program completed or equivalent.
  • Current Montana EMT/Paramedic license or RN with certificate of equivalency; PA licensure accepted.
  • NREMT certification preferred.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
  • NRP and EVOC within one year or at earliest offering.
  • Critical Care Transport Endorsement required within 18 months.
  • Montana driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Commitment to annual refresher training and continuing education.

Job description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputable healthcare organization in Helena, MT, and we are seeking to hire an experienced EMS professional to serve as a Paramedic and Field Training Officer Coordinator, supporting the development and clinical readiness of EMS staff.

In this role, you will coordinate education, training, and professional development initiatives for new and experienced EMS team members. Working closely with the Ambulance Manager, system educators, and community partners, you will support orientation, continuing education, skills development, FTO programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

The position also provides clinical support through 911 response, inter-facility transports, public assistance, and Emergency Department support as needed.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of practical Emergency Medical Services experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of an EMT or Paramedic program or equivalent required
  • Associate of Applied Science or equivalent preferred
  • Current Montana EMT, Paramedic, or RN with recent Certificate of Equivalency; PA licensure also accepted
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • NRP and EVOC required within one year or at the earliest available offering
  • PHTLS preferred
  • Critical Care Transport Endorsement required within 18 months
  • Valid Montana driver’s license with excellent driving record
  • Commitment to annual refresher training and continuing education
