Job summary

Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (EMS) seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to respond in an emergency vehicle and provide basic life support care at scene and during transport. The role supports the Special Events Team, following protocols and coordinating with dispatch and healthcare facilities.

The ideal candidate will have Indiana EMT-B certification, a high school diploma or GED, a valid Indiana driver’s license, CPR certification, and ongoing education to maintain certifications;

Qualifications

• Indiana EMT–Basic certification required.
• Active CPR certification.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic life support care in an ambulance.
• Monitor patient and transport condition.
• Drive ambulance in emergent and non-emergent conditions.
• Complete patient care reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with healthcare facilities.
