Job summary

Northwest Ambulance in Washington is seeking an experienced EMT Educator to own the EMT education pathway from orientation through independent field practice. You will deliver hands-on classroom and field training and ensure our programs stay current with industry best practices.

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will partner with RN Educator, Field Training Officers, and QA/QM to maintain a high, consistent standard across all EMTs.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State EMT certification in good standing.
• Minimum 2+ years EMS field experience; teaching ability a plus.
• Proficient in BLS patient care, ambulance operations, and safety documentation.
• Ability to teach adults and provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
• Calm, professional in fast-paced environments; able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMT onboarding and orientation, including classroom and field training.
• Develop EMT Field Training Officers and standardized evaluation tools.
• Teach and validate clinical skills with hands-on stations and scenarios.
• Analyze data with QA/QM to address trends and tailor education.
• Provide coaching and remediation for performance gaps.
• Translate new policies into practical training materials.
• Maintain annual education calendar and training records.
