Job summary

Northwest Ambulance is seeking an EMT Educator to own the EMT education pathway, from orientation to field practice, reporting to the Clinical Manager and collaborating with the RN Educator, operations leadership, FTOs, and QA/QM.

You will deliver hands-on classroom and field training, develop standardized evaluation tools, and translate policies into practical training, while maintaining an annual education calendar and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State EMT certification in good standing.
• 2+ years EMS field experience; teaching ability helps.
• Ability to teach adults with objective competency evaluation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
• Lift up to 75 lbs; sit/stand and mobility as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMT onboarding with classroom, skills, and safety content.
• Strengthen Field Training program and standardized evaluations.
• Teach and validate clinical skills through hands-on stations.
• Turn data into training with QA/QM insights.
• Coach and remediate performance gaps with Just Culture.
• Roll out changes to policies and equipment into training.
• Maintain an annual education calendar and training records.
