Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an EMT Driver for Special Events to deliver patient care in the prehospital setting at customer venues. You will perform assessments and interventions according to North Carolina OEMS guidelines and established hospital policy.

As part of the Special Events Emergency Team, you will support the paramedic or nurse during transport, assist with packaging and loading, drive vehicles, and maintain safety, cleanliness and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current NC EMT certification required.
• BCLS required.
• Current Driver's License required.
• National EMT registry preferred.
• 1–2 years experience with a 911 service as an EMT required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care at EMT-D level per protocols.
• Functions as a support role to the paramedic or nurse during transport.
• Drives vehicles per policy; ensure passenger safety.
• Keeps vehicle clean and restocked after events.
• Reports safety hazards to lead paramedic or Supervisor.
• Documents patient condition and treatment; maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains certifications and continuing education.
