Job summary

Advocate Health Cabarrus is seeking an EMT-Defibrillation level professional to provide direct patient care at events for the Sports Med Fitness & Arts program. You will support paramedics and nurses during transport and help with packaging and care at the EMT-D level.

Shift details indicate mostly nights and weekend work. Qualifications include state EMT certification, BCLS, and a valid driver’s license; 1–2 years of 911 EMT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current applicable state EMT certification required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 1–2 years of 911 EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care at EMT-D level per event protocols and OEMS guidelines.
• Support paramedic or nurse during transport; assist with packaging and care.
• Drive vehicles per events policy; ensure passenger safety.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and restock after events.
• Document patient condition and treatments; maintain confidentiality.
• Keep certifications and mandatory in-services up to date.
