Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, seeks an EMT to join the Special Events Emergency Team on a part-time basis. You will deliver prehospital patient care at the EMT-D level at customer venues, following NC OEMS guidelines and hospital policy.

The role requires lifting and transporting equipment, maintaining certification, and collaborating with paramedics or nurses during transport. Schedule includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; pay range is $21.85 to $32.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current NC EMT certification required.
• BCLS certification required.
• Current Driver's License required.
• National EMT registry preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with a 911 service as an EMT required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care at the EMT-Defibrillation level per protocols.
• Supports paramedic or nurse during transport and patient care.
• Drives vehicles and ensures safety of passengers at all times.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and restocking after events.
• Documents patient condition and treatment while protecting confidentiality.
• Maintains required certifications and continuing education.
