Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System is seeking a Transport Team member to care for ill or injured patients transported through the hospital’s LifeFlight program. The role involves field and hospital care under RN/Paramedic supervision, maintaining ambulances and equipment, and coordinating with LifeFlight aircraft and ground units.

Responsibilities include responding to transport requests within 60 minutes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with transfer laws.

Qualifications

• EMT license required.
• EVOC certification required and up to date.
• BLS certification active.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.
• IAMTCS Flight Communicator or CommLink Flight Coordinator certification within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for ill and injured patients transported by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Transport Program.
• Assist with interfacility and intrafacility transfers.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment, and manage transport supplies.
• Coordinate communications systems and dispatch with LifeFlight aircraft and ground teams.
• Accurately complete transport logs and related records.
