Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital LifeFlight Transport Program seeks an experienced Paramedic to care for injured patients transported by LifeFlight Ground Program. You will oversee ambulance upkeep, perform patient assessments, and participate in program development through meetings and projects.

You will drive ambulances, provide ground transport for critical care and single-provider teams, and maintain compliance with clinical and ethical standards on every shift.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Paramedic license.
• Driver's license active in Florida with clean driving record.
• AHA BLS, PALS, and ACLS active.
• NRP active within 6 months of hire.
• EVOC course completed.
• Trauma certification (PHTLS or ITLS) within 6 months of hire.
• FP-C, NPT-C, or CCP-C within 18 months of hire.
• 1.5 years as a licensed EMT.

Responsibilities

• Administers ACLS/PALS meds as required per transport and Medical Director.
• Assists with inter-facility transfers and attends to patients and families.
• Represents LifeFlight Transport Program on every shift.
• Maintains ambulances, transport equipment, and supplies.
• Performs and records patient vitals with each contact.
• Promotes compliance with the Code of Business and Ethical Conduct.
• Renders advanced life support under medical control during transport.
• Responds to transport requests with LifeFlight's ground vehicles.
• Participates in program development through meetings and projects.
• Supervises behavioral health patients and uses CPI when needed.
