Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to care for patients transported by the LifeFlight program. You will drive ambulances, maintain equipment, and support ground transport under medical supervision.

You will participate in program development, attend meetings, and perform data entry and clerical duties as assigned, with on-call responsibilities and crisis intervention duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Paramedic license.
• Driver's License Active and valid State of Florida driver’s license with an approved driving record.
• AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS current throughout employment.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) must be current within 6 months of hire.
• EVOC course completion.
• PHTLS or ITLS trauma certification required within 6 months of hire.
• FP-C, NPT-C or CCP-C certification within 18 months of hire.
• 1.5 years as a licensed EMT.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care of injured patients transported by LifeFlight Transport Program.
• Maintain and upkeep of ambulances and equipment; respond to ground transport requests.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and projects to develop LifeFlight program.
• Drive ambulances and perform ground transport for critical care or single provider teams.
• Provide continuous supervision and observe behavioral health patients with CPI strategies.
