Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System LifeFlight Transport Program seeks a skilled paramedic to care for injured patients and manage all ambulances and equipment. The role includes driving ground transports for critical or standard patient care and contributing to program development through meetings and projects.

Proven EMT/paramedic credentials and a track record in ALS protocols are required, with on-call availability and collaboration with hospital teams.

Qualifications

Active Florida Paramedic license.
Driver's license with clean driving record in Florida.
AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS active throughout employment.
NRP active within 6 months of hire.
EVOC completion.
Trauma certs (PHTLS/ITLS) within 6 months of hire.
FP-C/NPT-C/CCP-C within 18 months of hire.
1.5 years as a licensed EMT.

Responsibilities

Administers ACLS/PALS medications as required per transport and Medical Director guidance.
Assists with inter-facility transfers and attends to patient/family needs.
Represent LifeFlight Transport Program on each shift.
Maintain ambulances and transport equipment on every shift.
Perform and assist with patient assessment and vital signs.
Promote compliance with Code of Conduct on every shift.
Render ALS per protocols under medical control.
