Job summary

AmeriPro EMS is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide essential Basic Life Support (BLS) care and safe medical transport in both emergency environments. This role emphasizes patient assessment, direct BLS treatment, operational readiness, and teamwork in support of Paramedics and public safety partners.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification and active license
• Experience performing patient assessments and BLS
• Ability to operate EMS equipment and drive EMS vehicle safely
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide BLS interventions (CPR, oxygen, bleeding control, splinting, vital signs).
• Assist Paramedics by preparing equipment and performing delegated tasks during ALS calls.
• Monitor patient condition during transport and relay updates to the Paramedic or receiving facility.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation of BLS care and patient interactions.
• Operate the ambulance safely and according to driving standards.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness through inspections and restocking.
• Perform stretcher operations and safe patient handling.
• Participate in required training and quality improvement activities to maintain EMT proficiency.
