Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to provide skilled medical care in response to emergency calls. You will examine and stabilize patients, administer life support, and coordinate with on-call physicians while driving an ambulance.

Qualifications

• Certification as Emergency Medical Technician (Massachusetts).
• CPR certification - Basic Life Support by Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Administers medical care per EMS protocols on emergency scenes.
• Obtains medical history, assesses, stabilizes and informs on-call physician.
• Responds to a wide range of emergency situations and provides mass casualty support.
• Documents pre-hospital care for facility admission and data records.
• Drives ambulance and ensures readiness of vehicle and equipment.
