Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Donor Center Medical Professional to evaluate donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis procedures and supervise immunizations per state regulations and SOPs.

The role includes providing limited emergency care within licensure, coordinating with Licensed Physicians, and ensuring compliance with FDA, CLIA, and cGMP guidelines while supporting donor-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related educational program, such as Physician, Nurse (LPN or RN). Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT) if allowable.
• Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification, as defined by the state where the work is performed.
• One (1)-year experience in hospital or field care or experience in plasma center preferred.
• Current, valid state license/certification (Physician, RN, LPN, EMT, or equivalent as allowed by state).
• Current CPR certification.
• State-issued authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions in accordance with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
• Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in the donor management system (NexLynk).
• Classify donors into appropriate programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as allowed by training and licensure.
• Consult with the center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
• Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer donors to health departments when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
• Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer to support workforce development.
• Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient, donor-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
