Job summary

Virtua Medical Group in Pennsauken, NJ seeks an EMT/Dispatch professional to manage emergency and non-emergency transports and radio/phone transmissions. You will operate MEDCOM, coordinate with EMS staff, and support online medical direction.

This per diem, part-time night-shift role requires EMT-B certification or active training, high school diploma, and continuing education within 6 months; benefits include medical, time off, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Training Program preferred.
• Certified EMT-B by NJ State preferred.
• Public Safety Telecommunicator Basic Training within 6 months of hire.
• Emergency Medical Dispatcher Training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate MEDCOM radios, equipment and telephones for efficient communications.
• Receive calls and relay information to appropriate personnel or facilities.
• Enter responses into CAD system and ensure standards are met.
• Conduct weekly/monthly radio testing and maintain records.
• Coordinate MICU Field Operations and disaster recall as needed.
