Rhode Island Hospital seeks an EMT-B to perform non-invasive patient care alongside the critical care paramedic during transport. You will provide safe patient care, assist in protocol development, and participate in training and research within LifePACT.

Responsibilities include documenting care per hospital and state requirements, communicating with teams and families, and remaining current with clinical literature. Travel to on-call locations and disaster responses is required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Current State of Rhode Island EMT-B license.
• Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of LifePact Ambulance equipment and supplies.
• Current BLS certification; instructor status preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform non-invasive patient care alongside the critical care paramedic during transport.
• Provide comprehensive, safe non-invasive care to patients transported by LifePACT.
• Assist in development of patient care protocols and methods.
• Participate in training curricula and research.
• Complete patient documentation per RI Hospital and RI DoH; ensure timely billing.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, patients and families.
• Uphold LifePACT policies and safety standards.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and disasters.
• Attend required meetings and stay current with relevant literature.
• Assist with Emergency Department communications and dispatch.
