Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island EMT-Paramedic license with at least 1 year EMS field experience.
• Current Paramedic certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (instructor status preferred).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Nursing or related field preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• EVOC certification within one year of employment.
• Ability to travel unrestricted in various transport modes.
• Strong communication with patients, hospital staff and the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-invasive patient care during transport under physician supervision.
• Assist in development of patient care protocols and methods.
• Participate in training, curricula and research.
• Complete timely patient documentation per Rhode Island Hospital and Rhode Island Department of Health.
• Engage in public education, outreach and community service.
