Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Paramedic for LifePACT to deliver high-quality patient care during transport under supervision of the Medical Director and LifePACT Manager. This role requires readiness for on-call and travel across the state using ambulances, cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, and helicopters.

Responsibilities include non-invasive patient care, protocol development, training participation, research contributions, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island EMT-Paramedic license with at least 1 year EMS field experience.
• National Registry Paramedic certification.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications; EVOC preferred in instructor status.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive patient care alongside the critical care paramedic during transport.
• Provide comprehensive safe non-invasive care to patients transported by LifePACT.
• Assist in development of patient care protocols and methods.
• Participate in training curricula and research.
• Attend required staff and educational meetings; stay current with literature.
• Complete patient documentation promptly for billing per RI Hospital/DOH.
• Engage in public education, outreach; maintain a positive attitude.
• Maintain equipment; assist with ED communications and dispatch as needed.
• Respond to emergencies with on-call duties; travel across RI and beyond.
