Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Missoula, MT is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under physician direction in a regulated environment.

You will work with BioLife Medical Affairs and EHS guidance, contributing to a safe, compliant center while supporting vaccination programs and incident investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold state licenses listed (EMT/ LPN/LVN/RN) and CPR/AED certification.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Familiar with plasma collection regulations and EHS guidance.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for Unacceptable findings or guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator with EHS authorization.
