Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program equivalency and state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy and FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, and physical examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and assist with safety/regulatory duties.
