Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. is seeking an EMT-B to provide safe and efficient response, treatment and transport for emergent and non-emergent calls. You will assess patients, administer basic life support and document care while collaborating with a coordinated team.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, and adherence to protocols, with duties including vehicle checks, accurate paperwork and ongoing training to stay current with MA EMS standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• MA Basic EMT certification in good standing.
• 2–4 years of prior EMS experience preferred; 0–1 year of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care.
• Assess injuries and illnesses and provide BLS on scene and during transport per treatment protocols.
• Attend to patients courteously and professionally.
• Operate the ambulance in compliance with safety rules, company policies, and laws.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checklists at the start of each shift; maintain stock and cleanliness.
• Accurately record patient care and submit required PCR documentation daily.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in mandated trainings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, EMS agencies, physicians, hospitals, and the public.
