Job summary

AMR is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Bay Shore, NY to respond to emergencies and provide high-quality care and customer service. Starting pay is $22.04/hr and up, with a referral bonus program for referrals that result in hires.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, delivering emergency services, and maintaining safety and confidentiality. EMTs will work with other health and public safety personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• State Driver's License.
• NY State EMT certification.
• Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide an assessment of patients and determine necessary care.
• Deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while ensuring confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate skills for care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, and office equipment.
• Operate an ambulance in alignment with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
