Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Bay Shore, NY. Starting pay is $20.35/hr and up based on experience. A referral bonus of $5k for a FT Paramedic hire or $2.5k for a PT Paramedic hire is offered.

EMTs respond to emergencies and non-emergencies, providing high-quality care and customer service. Minimum qualifications include NY EMT, REMAC credentials, CPR/BLS, a valid NY driver’s license, and ability to pass PAT.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
NY State EMT certification is required.
Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials are required.
CPR/BLS certification is required.
State Driver's License is required.
PAT (Physical Ability Test) must be passed.
Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

EMTs provide assessment of patients, determine needed care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and ensure stock is well organized.
Use appropriate skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
Operate an ambulance in accordance with company policies and traffic laws.
Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
