Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking EMT/AEMT to join our Transport EMS team on a full-time basis. The role involves high-level patient assessment, compassionate care, and safe transport to medical facilities with careful handovers to receiving staff.

Requirements include Kentucky EMT-B and AEMT certifications, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities within a values-driven healthcare

Qualifications

Must hold Kentucky EMT-B certification.
Must hold Kentucky EMT-Advanced Certification (AEMT).
BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA/ARC) required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and identify injuries, illnesses, or emergencies.
Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families during transport.
Monitor vital signs and adjust treatments to maintain stability and comfort.
Lift/move patients with team assistance and transport to medical facilities.
Communicate handover details to receiving staff and document condition and history.
Maintain accurate PCRs and records of assessments, treatments, and transport.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and equipment readiness.
Perform routine EMS vehicle checks and report any deficiencies.
