Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin is seeking a part-time AEMT to join our Transport EMS team. The role focuses on delivering advanced life support and patient care during transport, with responsibilities ranging from patient assessment to documentation of care and handovers.

Qualified candidates hold EMT-Advanced certification, BLS, and a high school diploma, and are able to operate under medical director approved protocols and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Calm under pressure demonstrated in high-stress EMS transports.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within department protocols and state scope for EMT-A.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments to identify injuries or emergencies.
• Provides basic life support, including CPR, airway management, and use of AEDs.
• Administers medications as per protocols and transports patients safely.
• Completes patient care reports and maintains accurate records of treatments and transport activities.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and documentation.
