Job summary

AmeriPro EMS is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide essential Basic Life Support and safe medical transport in both emergency environments. This role emphasizes patient assessment, direct BLS treatment, and teamwork in support of Paramedics and public safety partners.

Qualifications

• Previous EMT work experience.
• PHTLS and/or ITLS training.
• Technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and provide BLS interventions (CPR, oxygen, bleeding control, splinting, vital signs).
• Assist Paramedics by preparing equipment and performing delegated tasks during ALS calls.
• Monitor patient condition during transport and relay updates to the Paramedic or receiving facility.
• Complete accurate, timely electronic documentation of BLS care and patient interactions.
• Operate the ambulance safely per AmeriPro driving standards and traffic regulations.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness through inspections, cleaning, restocking, and reporting issues.
• Perform stretcher operations, lifting/moving patients, and securing equipment to support safe transport.
• Participate in required training and quality improvement activities to maintain EMT proficiency.
