Job summary

The State of New Hampshire is seeking an EMS Training Coordinator in Concord to coordinate statewide EMS training programs, administer licensing, inspections, examinations and recommend process improvements to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Preferred qualifications include an EMT certification with pre-hospital experience and an NH EMS Instructor license within one year, plus ongoing EMT certification. Salary ranges from $22.50 to $30.02 per hour with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and 2 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician with two years of pre-hospital emergency experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops and implements statewide training program curricula, guidelines and protocols for instructors and EMS providers to include Instructor Coordinator and Education Training Agency (ETA) activities.
• Develops, administers, and coordinates qualifying examinations for various levels of EMS programs. Uses observations to develop and recommend updates to processes in collaboration with supervisors.
• Coordinates and evaluates licensing applications for EMS units, wheelchair van for hire companies and EMS providers to ensure compliance with law and administrative rule.
• Coordinates the licensing and inspection of all EMS vehicles to include ambulances, aircraft, watercraft and wheelchair vans to ensure compliance with laws and administrative rule.
• Adheres to all state and federal privacy rules relative to protection of personal information, educational records, and system security.
• Coordinates, assigns and supervises staff related to examination, training and inspection processes in order to ensure standardized methodologies.
• Responds to public inquiries on education, training and licensing rules of the EMS community and the public.
• Monitors and enforces statutory and regulatory standards for established programs to ensure quality of pre-hospital emergency medical care.
