Job description

General Function

The Lead Instructor Coordinator prepares and conducts EMT training programs for the general public in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Action Ambulance policies. Central to this role is a strong commitment to a student‑focused learning environment, ensuring each student is supported, engaged, and set up for success. The ultimate goal is not only to educate, but to inspire, mentor, and prepare students to pursue employment within the EMS field—ideally within the Action Ambulance organization.

Major Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and student‑focused Instructor Coordinator (IC) to support and deliver high‑quality EMS education in the State of New Hampshire. In this role, you will demonstrate a consistent student‑first approach, ensuring every student feels supported, challenged, and prepared for real‑world EMS practice in alignment with New Hampshire Bureau of EMS education standards. You will foster an engaging learning environment that encourages students to pursue careers in EMS, with a focus on developing, recruiting, and retaining top talent within the organization. Through effective instruction, you will provide high‑quality clinical and didactic education to students and, when applicable, members of the public, emphasizing hands‑on skills, critical thinking, and professional growth.

As an Instructor Coordinator, you will serve as both a mentor and liaison between students, faculty, and program leadership, guiding students through successful course completion while supporting their transition into EMS roles. You will incorporate real‑world EMS expectations, professional standards, and organizational values into the classroom to ensure students are workforce‑ready upon completion. This includes identifying high‑potential candidates and encouraging their continued development within the EMS system.

In accordance with New Hampshire EMS education requirements, you will maintain responsibility for course oversight, including ensuring all training, documentation, record keeping, and course evaluations comply with New Hampshire Bureau of EMS administrative rules and approved curriculum standards. You will coordinate and supervise instructional staff, including instructors and teaching assistants, to ensure consistency and quality in the student experience. Additionally, you will support the delivery of clinical education for First Responders, affiliated agencies, and internal personnel, including Continuing Education (Con Ed) programs as required.

Strong communication, professionalism, and leadership are essential in this role. You will model organizational values, collaborate effectively with team members, and represent the organization with credibility. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as completion of administrative and program‑related responsibilities necessary to maintain compliance and deliver an exceptional educational experience.
