Job summary

Osceola County is seeking an experienced EMS Training Captain to supervise and coordinate EMS Education and Training within the Fire Rescue department. This leadership role works with the Division Chief of EMS to ensure adherence to state, national, and accreditation standards while guiding instructors, coordinators, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years as a Paramedic with Osceola County Fire Rescue or equivalent experience.
• Current Florida paramedic certification and valid Florida driver's license.
• Experience in training, supervision, and program management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight for EMS Education and Training; sets goals and measures.
• Directs EMS Training staff, mentors instructors, and ensures compliance with standards.
• Oversees credentialing, continuing education, licensure compliance, and remediation.
• Develops policies, curriculum, testing, and documentation; manages budget.
