Job summary

Public Power seeks an Energy Management Systems (EMS) Engineer to support reliable operation, administration, and security of EMS including SCADA, telemetry, load management, and distributed generation monitoring. You will collaborate with ElectriCities departments, utilities, vendors, and consultants while participating in after-hours support during events and outages.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field; equivalent combination may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in electric utility, system operations, SCADA/telemetry, cybersecurity, metering, or related environment.
• Working knowledge of utility operations, energy management systems, SCADA/telemetry, communications networks, cybersecurity practices, databases, and related OT.
• Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, reliability, and independent judgment; ability to work with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

• Support administration, maintenance, and improvement of EMS, SCADA, telemetry, load management, DG monitoring, and related communications systems.
• Monitor reliability, data accuracy, cybersecurity, integration, and business continuity for OT systems; troubleshoot and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide engineering support for operational systems, field equipment integration, interfaces, database and reporting needs, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with ElectriCities departments, participants, utilities, vendors, and consultants to support system performance and priorities.
• Participate in rotating after-hours support for events, emergencies, and time-sensitive situations requiring sound engineering judgment.
