Job summary

Penn Entertainment is seeking an EMS Supervisor to lead the EMS staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate scheduling for racing and exercise days. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, staff coaching, and maintaining operational readiness across the EMS department.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, 3–5 years in a related field with supervisory experience, and state paramedic/EMT licensure with CPR/AED certification.

Provides supervision of all EMS Staff, provide guidance and maintain property licensing requirements as it relates to the EMS function, meet regulations with racing commission, and scheduling for racing and exercise days.

  • Responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the EMS department. Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for supporting compliance to departmental budgets.
  • Responsible for developing & maintaining the EMS Staff Schedule.
  • Monitors & monitors EMS supplies/equipment and ensures setup of ambulance throughout the season.
  • Ensures compliance with all local & state regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Monitors patient care reviews & reports.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALiFiCATiON REQUiREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have three to five years’ experience in a related field. One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent organization and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism at all times.
SUPERViSORY RESPONSiBiTiES

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

  • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to team members.
LANGUAGE SKiLLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONiNG ABiLiTY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTiFiCATES, LiCENSES, REGiSTRATiONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations; including or not limited to:

  • State Paramedic or EMT Licensure
  • Current CPR/AED Certification at Health Care Provider Level
  • Current Hazardous Material Awareness Training
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
