Job summary

IdahoPTV is hiring an EMS State Communications Officer (Emergency Dispatcher) in Boise, Idaho. The position is full-time and involves providing emergency dispatch and communication coordination for public safety agencies, incident commanders, and law enforcement within the StateComm branch of the Idaho Military Division.

The role requires completion of required training (CPR, IAED, POST ECO Basic Academy within 18 months), background checks, and driver’s license validation.

Qualifications

• Describe your experience communicating verbally with a variety of individuals, including upset or stressed callers and using emergency communications terminology.
• Describe experience using communication equipment, telephones, radios, computer systems, or other tech, and following procedures.
• Describe experience with emergency communications, dispatching, EMS, fire, law enforcement, or public safety operations.
• Describe experience with geographic information, maps, addresses, jurisdictions, facilities, or service areas.
• Describe experience receiving, identifying, retaining, documenting, and transmitting important information accurately while multitasking.
• Describe experience working in stressful, high-pressure situations and maintaining professionalism.
