Job summary

County of Riverside is seeking a Senior Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator in Riverside to oversee the development, coordination, and delivery of hospital and pre-hospital care. The role focuses on monitoring performance metrics, supervising EMS personnel, and coordinating EMS policy, budgeting, and collaboration with hospitals, trauma centers, and public health partners.

Qualifications include a California RN with ACLS or a Paramedic license plus ACLS, or a public health/EMS degree

Qualifications

Knowledge of State of California EMS statutes and regulations.
Supervisory theory and techniques.
Ability to collect, compile and analyze EMS data.
Strong communication skills, oral and written.

Responsibilities

Provide technical supervision for EMS personnel and review work of subordinates.
Develop QA/QI criteria and data collection systems for EMS performance.
Assist in budget development and monitor expenditures.
Assist in EMS pre-hospital policies and procedures.
Audit EMS reports and investigate incident reports for quality of care improvements.
Coordinate with hospitals, ambulance services, and public health partners on EMS standards.
