Job summary
Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an EMS Emergency Management Coordinator to implement, direct and promote pre-hospital care coordination with EMS providers and regional leaders. The role requires regulatory knowledge, RN or EMTP licensure, and strong leadership.
The position is part-time, with weekday daytime hours and responsibilities including training, protocol development and disaster readiness collaboration with medical directors and ED leadership.
Qualifications
- Must hold RN license or EMTP certification.
- OH EMS instructor certification within 1 year of hire.
- Five years of experience in emergency/EMS pre-hospital care are required.
- Leadership, supervisory and/or teaching experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Implement and supervise all aspects of pre-hospital care delivery in coordination with EMS Medical Director and hospital physicians.
- Coordinate EMS training, continuing education and Quality initiatives for EMS providers.
- Develop and maintain communications with EMS and community leaders and participate in EMS activities.
- Monitor continuing education hours for EMS providers as required by state.
- Plan and conduct EMS training courses for certification and recertification of EMS providers and nursing.
