Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a part-time EMS Emergency Management Coordinator to lead pre-hospital care initiatives and collaborate with EMS providers, the Medical Director, and regional officials.

The role requires RN licensure and/or EMTP certification, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and significant EMS experience, with a focus on education, protocol development, and system-wide readiness.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and/or EMTP certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• OH EMS instructor certification within 1 year of hire
• Five years EMS pre-hospital care experience
• Leadership, supervisory or teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pre-hospital protocols with EMS Medical Director and physicians
• Coordinate continuing education for EMS providers and patient safety initiatives
• Lead and coordinate EMS training courses for certification/recertification
• Maintain EMS equipment and education materials, and manage communications with EMS/community leaders
• Collaborate to ensure ED disaster readiness and develop a comprehensive EMS marketing program
