Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an EMS Education Instructor to teach and supervise EMS students in classroom and clinical settings. You will develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum, visit clinical sites, maintain student records, and support program operations to ensure a successful educational experience.

The role is regular PRN with days/evenings/weekends; the candidate should have extensive EMS experience and multiple AHAs instructor certifications, with ability to travel

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years EMS experience as EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic (two years as paramedic).
• State of Ohio Paramedic Certification.
• BLSI within 12 months.
• ACLSI within 12 months.
• PALSI within 12 months.
• ITLS Instructor within 12 months.
• FESI Level II within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of computers and ability to use instructional software.
• Ability to produce documents on a PC.
• Excellent public speaking skills.

Mansioni

• Instruct EMS courses in classroom and lab, including lecturing and supervising lab sessions.
• Conduct clinical site visits and evaluate student performance.
• Maintain student records and support program operations.
• Assist with inventory and equipment purchases.
• Administer and evaluate written tests.
• Evaluate students in clinical/field rotations and submit evaluations.
• Collaborate with community health and EMS agencies.
• Demonstrate ongoing professional development and teaching methods.
