Job summary

J&T Business Consulting in Seymour, CT seeks a Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead high-mix, low-to-medium volume EMS/PCBA operations. You will drive SQDCP performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, while advancing Lean deployment, capacity planning, and NPI execution.

Strong cross-functional leadership and problem-solving are essential for sustaining margins and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
8–10 years of EMS/PCBA operational and engineering leadership experience.
Experience in highly regulated sectors (Aerospace/Defense/Medical) is preferred.
Lean Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred; green/black belt noted.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing, engineering, and technical operations to ensure SQDCP goals.
Develop and mentor frontline leaders through structured development programs.
Implement tiered shop-floor management and data-driven performance reviews.
Drive capacity planning, SMT/PTH manufacturing, and line balance.
Lead NPI ramp, DFM/DFT alignment, and cost baselines for new products.
Oversee CapEx, equipment ROI, and regulatory compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D, ITAR).
