Job summary

J T is seeking an Operations Manager for Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS/PCBA) in Seymour, CT. You will direct daily manufacturing and warehouse operations, drive SQDCP results, and lead Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people metrics.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will champion continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. The role emphasizes high-mix, low-to-medium volume production with emphasis on SMT and related assembly

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) required.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in EMS/contract electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with high-mix, low-to-medium volume electronics assemblies (SMT/through-hole/box build).
• Background in ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ITAR environments; Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop production supervisors, line leads, and frontline personnel.
• Drive SQDCP metrics through daily stand-ups, gemba tours, and bottleneck resolution.
• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping) and continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate daily SMT, PTH, wave soldering, box build, and testing schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety regulations; manage capacity and staffing alignment.
