Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee Lynx EMS satellite locations in Beckley, WV. You will lead day-to-day operations, review staffing, and coordinate with hospital and facility partners to ensure service quality.

You will manage HR tasks, update policies, and drive operational improvements, while maintaining reporting and compliance across sites. The role requires EMT credentials and strong leadership under pressure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EMS policies and procedures and, at minimum, hold an EMT license.
• Knowledge of emergency medical response protocols and related activities.
• Knowledge of inventory maintenance and control.
• Knowledge of basic principles of management and supervision.
• Knowledge of record keeping and case management.
• Ability to work under stressful situations and make informed decisions.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with staff and public.
• Skilled in managing staff, equipment, facilities across multiple sites.
• Proficient PC use with various software applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Operations Supervisors daily to assess and review day-to-day operations.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and related issues; review and approve.
• Act as liaison between Supervisors, hospitals, nursing facilities and Regional Manager.
• Provide weekly real-time updates to Regional Manager or as needed.
• Lead and improve administrative and operational functions; document guidance.
• Review and recommend changes to policies and procedures; assist creation of new ones.
• Advise on staffing and equipment needs for budgeting purposes.
• Maintain full-time regular schedule and verify staffing for all shifts.
• Participate in HR responsibilities and staff selection when needed.
• Prepare staff reports, records, and related paperwork for review.
• Investigate incidents and communicate status to leadership.
• Submit incident and injury reports timely.
• Oversee facility inspections, meetings, and dispatch processes.
• Remain reachable by phone off duty when required.
• Perform other duties to ensure operational integrity.
